Spent the day driving/chaperoning for the class trip to EPCOT, which was exhausting, slightly stressful, and highly amusing.

I am really glad I did it, because I spent the day with my kid, who is so much fun to hang around with, and another kid who, it turns out, is also fun to hang around with … and, yeah.

(Next year, though, either Scott or my mother is doing this with me, because there were times it would have been handy to have another adult there.)

Also, just on the total off chance: if you’re the cashier at the store in “Germany” who speaks English, German, and Bulgarian and gave two little blonde boys a freaking gigantic roll of stickers today after patiently answering all the questions on our field trip worksheet? You, sir, won the day. You are all kinds of awesome, and I hope your day was as good as you made ours.

I read (you can check out my Goodreads if you want; it's linked on my blog). I write (I’ve been published in Cicada, On Spec, Strange Horizons, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Betwixt, Metaphorosis, Gallery of Curiosities, The Cassandra Project; the stuff that’s available online is linked on my blog). I plan for the inevitable zombie apocalypse and welcome the coming of the gorilla revolution. Or the anarchist rabbits. Whichever happens first. (I also blame my husband for basically everything.)
