So thanks to some wonderful people, I raised (as of this writing) $220 for Sharon the Light!
So thank you to Nathan, April, Kristina, Debra, Laurel, Amy, Deanna, Sharyl, Cindy, Jason, and Donna for your donations! And thank you to the readers who came by and liked just about every post–I appreciate the support!
(If you donated this month via the Sharon the Light donations page and don’t see your name here, please let me know so I can send you the ebook!)
The donations pages are going nowhere–I’ll leave the CrowdRise up, and Sharon the Light always takes donations. So if you wanted the ebook and didn’t get the chance to donate this month, no big deal. Deadlines are arbitrary! If you donate to this cause, you’ll get the book. Same rules, though–CrowdRise will notify me of donations, but if you donate directly to the StL website, leave me a comment or drop me an email.
I’m going to get started figuring out how to put together a variety of ebook files this week, and I’ll post updates on my progress here. I figure it will be super simple or incredibly annoying, because that’s how technology works for me.
This was quite an interesting experience (June was a helluva month in a number of ways). I’ve never done serial posting like this before, and it was a little nerve-wracking. There’s a certain amount of Oh, god, did I research enough? Is this too hand-wavey? Is it sci-fi enough? Is it romantic enough? Wait, what do you mean my extended in-laws are reading this story, it has sex in it, oh my god (hi, Jan! Love you!), as well as the additional scenes I knew going in I would have to write in a very short time frame.
It was fun, though. And I’m happy that Tace, Javi, Lin, and Trini are out in the world for everyone to meet–they’ve been living in my head and my hard drive for a while, now, and I’m a little sad to be at the end of their story, but such is the nature of the beast.
I hope you guys enjoyed (or will enjoy–I know a couple of you donated because you wanted to read it all at once) Dropping Slow. Thank you again for reading and/or donating!
