quarantine blogging: snakes and other creatures

My cousin’s 5 year old son has a pet snake he named “Cutie” because, it seems, the snake has a cute face.  This is adorable and reminds me of a certain child of mine, back in the day.

Said child has decided to spend this week before online classes start to do a bit of self-directed learning: the classics of comic book literature.  Just about all the Alan Moore has been snagged; he’s working his way through Watchmen at the moment.  Also playing Animal Crossing and complaining about the capitalist tendencies of Tom Nook and his children.

(I’m in debt to Tom Nook for a tent and airfare, myself.  I have a nice little campsite amongst some trees, near a river.)

I read (you can check out my Goodreads if you want; it's linked on my blog). I write (I’ve been published in Cicada, On Spec, Strange Horizons, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Betwixt, Metaphorosis, Gallery of Curiosities, The Cassandra Project; the stuff that’s available online is linked on my blog). I plan for the inevitable zombie apocalypse and welcome the coming of the gorilla revolution. Or the anarchist rabbits. Whichever happens first. (I also blame my husband for basically everything.)
